The Rolling Stones Reveal New Album Title: “Foreign Tongues”

The Rolling Stones have confirmed the title of their twenty-fifth studio album: “Foreign Tongues”. On April 26, the band’s official Instagram account shared photos of billboards from multiple countries — including Australia, France, Poland, and the UK — all bearing the group’s iconic logo alongside the same phrase written in different languages, effectively announcing the name of the upcoming record.

The reveal followed the release of a vinyl-only single, “Rough & Twisted”, issued under the band’s alias The Cockroaches. The track’s lyrics reference “foreign tongues” directly, a detail fans quickly connected to the wider campaign. The album was produced by Andrew Watt, who previously worked with the Stones on their Grammy Award-winning 2023 comeback “Hackney Diamonds”. Sessions reportedly proved highly productive, with sources suggesting the band recorded enough material for at least one further album beyond this release.

The album is widely expected to arrive on July 10, 2026, though no official date has been announced. A full tour is not anticipated: in late 2025, the band scrapped plans for a UK and European stadium run after Keith Richards was unable to commit to the demands of an extended tour due to his long-running battle with arthritis. Selected promotional appearances are expected instead.
