Kraken return to Spain with four dates on their “El rugido del Kraken” tour
Colombian hard rock and heavy metal band Kraken are heading back to Spain as part of their “El rugido del Kraken” European tour. Founded in Medellín in 1984, the group has spent more than four decades as one of the most enduring voices in Spanish-language rock. The tour continues to honour the memory of Elkin Ramírez, known as “El Titán” — the band’s founder and frontman who passed away in 2017 at the age of 54.
The current line-up is fronted by Roxana Restrepo, who has led the band for seven years and made her mark with the 2024 album “Los Pasos del Titán”. Last year, Kraken performed at Zaragoza’s Fiestas del Pilar and screened a documentary about Elkin Ramírez in Barcelona, deepening their connection with Spanish audiences ahead of this new run of shows.
In Spain, the band will play Madrid on 28 May at Independance Club, Alicante on 29 May at Marea Rock, Seville on 30 May at Sala Even, and Barcelona on 4 June at Sala Upload. Spanish symphonic and power metal act Sylvania will join as support for the Madrid, Alicante, and Seville shows.
