Lana Del Rey records theme song for new James Bond video game
Lana Del Rey has released a new track created for the video game 007: First Light. The song serves as the official main theme of the project and was produced in collaboration with composer David Arnold, known for his work on James Bond films.
At IO Interactive, the team noted that the collaboration between the two artists helped preserve the signature sound of the franchise while offering a contemporary interpretation. According to company director Hakan Abrak, the return of James Bond to video games is a significant milestone, and having an original theme further enhances the project.
This is not Lana Del Rey’s first connection to the 007 universe. She previously worked on a song for the film Spectre, although the final version of the movie featured Writing’s On The Wall performed by Sam Smith.
The new release is also linked to the singer’s upcoming album Stove, which will follow her previous record Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd (2023).
