Netflix to release documentary series about Kylie Minogue: the singer reveals her most personal side

Kylie Minogue is preparing to tell her story in a new documentary project from Netflix. The streaming service has announced a three-part series titled Kylie, dedicated to nearly 40 years of the Australian pop icon’s career.

The project will trace the artist’s journey from her early days on television to becoming one of the most recognizable figures in global pop music. It will focus not only on her musical evolution, but also on the personal challenges she has faced throughout her career.

The series will feature materials from the singer’s personal archive, including home videos, rare photographs, previously unreleased recordings, and exclusive footage. The story will also be complemented by new interviews with Kylie Minogue herself, in which she reflects on key moments in her life — from rapid success to her battle with illness and media pressure.

The documentary will also include commentary from the singer’s friends, family members, and colleagues. Among them are Dannii Minogue, Jason Donovan, Nick Cave, and Pete Waterman.

According to Netflix, the series will cover Minogue’s path from her role as Charlene in the Australian soap opera Neighbours to international musical recognition. Over the course of her career, the artist has sold more than 80 million records and has repeatedly reinvented her sound while maintaining her distinctive style.

The project is directed by Emmy and BAFTA award winner Michael Harte. It is produced by Ventureland, led by John Battsek.

The exact premiere date has not yet been announced, but the series is already being positioned as one of the most revealing projects of Kylie Minogue’s career.
