Ferret Music Returns with a New Chapter and Fresh Signings

Legendary independent label Ferret Music, widely recognized for its impact on the metalcore and hardcore scenes, has officially announced its return. Founded by Carl Severson, the label is set to focus once again on discovering and developing emerging artists while staying true to the values that made it one of the most respected names in heavy music.

The first bands to join the revived roster are BORE and WOUNDED TOUCH. Members of both groups described signing with Ferret Music as a dream come true, citing the label’s iconic catalog as a major influence on their musical journey.

Originally launched in the mid-1990s, Ferret Music grew out of the DIY hardcore movement and went on to release landmark records by Killswitch Engage, Converge, Every Time I Die, Poison The Well, In Flames, The Devil Wears Prada, Zao, and many other influential acts, helping shape the modern heavy music landscape.

Alongside its return, the label has announced a series of vinyl reissues featuring classic releases from the Ferret catalog, as well as selected titles originally released through Good Fight Music. The first wave includes Remembering Never's God Save Us, Torn Apart's The Fifty-Ninth Session, Old Wounds' Suffering Spirit, and Racetraitor's Creation And The Timeless Order Of Things.

According to Carl Severson, Ferret Music remains committed to supporting artists who push creative boundaries rather than chasing commercial trends. Additional signings and new releases are expected to be announced in the coming months.
