Noches Mágicas closes its fourteenth edition with nearly 14,000 attendees and sets its sights on a 15th anniversary in 2027
Festival Noches Mágicas has brought its fourteenth edition to a close. Two weeks in the Jardines de Abril of Sant Joan d’Alacant — ending with La Banda Sabinera on stage — and a balance that confirms the continued growth of a format that keeps expanding both its audience and its artistic reach. Approximately 14,000 people attended the 2026 edition, thousands of them discovering the Jardines de Abril and the Noches Mágicas experience for the very first time.
The program traveled across styles and generations: pop, flamenco, rap, contemporary folk, singer-songwriter music, rock, dance, classical music and fusion shared the same space across two weeks, reaffirming the festival’s commitment to a diverse, open and quality-driven cultural offer that leaves no audience out.
The opening weekend kicked off with the already iconic 80's Summer Party, headlined by Modestia Aparte and Toreros con Chanclas, who once again generated an immediate and enthusiastic response. The edition’s main novelty arrived the following evening: the first-ever 90's Summer Party in the festival’s history turned the Jardines de Abril into a massive dancefloor with Twenty 4 Seven, Double You, Just Luis and Viceversa. Miguel Campello closed the first weekend with an intense, emotionally charged concert as part of his 25th anniversary tour.
The second week opened with Ara Malikian, who delivered one of the edition’s most intimate concerts: the violinist came down from the stage to play among the audience, shared reflections on his life and artistic journey, and created a sense of closeness that few performances achieve. Israel Fernández offered one of the festival’s most intense and profound evenings — a concert in which emotion was the central structural element from start to finish.
Nach traced the full arc of his career, performing new tracks from “Destino” alongside the classics that have made him the defining reference point of rap in Spanish. The Alicante-born artist came down to rap among the crowd and was joined at several moments by the Virtuós Mediterrani orchestra, directed by Gerardo Estrada, which brought an entirely new symphonic dimension to parts of his repertoire.
One of the edition’s defining moments came with Ana Torroja, who performed to a completely sold-out venue, running through the great anthems of Mecano alongside the most representative songs of her solo career. The night continued long after the concert with a packed Fiesta de los 80's in the DJ zone, keeping the crowd dancing well into the early hours. Rodrigo Cuevas confirmed his outstanding current form with a show that blends tradition, folklore, humor, electronics and avant-garde in a proposal so distinctively personal that it resists comparison with anything else. La Banda Sabinera closed the edition with a night of emotion and complicity, in which audience members took to the stage to become part of the performance.
Beyond the concerts, the festival strengthened its identity as a meeting point for different artistic disciplines. The Escenario Jardín hosted nine artists; ten visual artists contributed to the exhibition route; the parallel program included sixteen performances; and the market brought together eight stalls of artisan craft and design.
With the fourteenth edition now closed, the festival team is already at work on a particularly meaningful milestone: the fifteenth edition in 2027, an anniversary that will mark a new chapter in the project’s history and reaffirm Noches Mágicas’s commitment to culture, artistic quality and unique experiences in the Jardines de Abril.
