Charli XCX releases her new album “Music, Fashion, Film”
British singer Charli XCX has released her new studio album “Music, Fashion, Film”, now available in both physical and digital formats.
The album arrives two years after “brat” (2024) and features a rawer, more analogue sound, with guitars and influences from pop punk and shoegaze, marking a departure from the style of her previous record.
The album cover, photographed by Aidan Zamiri, features a black-and-white image of three iconic figures from contemporary culture: musician John Cale from Velvet Underground, designer Marc Jacobs and filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Each of them represents one of the three disciplines mentioned in the album’s title: music, fashion and film.
The album title comes from a line featured in one of her previously released singles, “SS26”: “Nothing will save us, not music, not fashion, not film”.
Before the release, Charli XCX had already warned that the album would be very different from “brat”: “I made an album and it’s very different from the last one. I like it, but maybe you won’t. That’s OK. If you like it, great, and if you don’t, that’s fine too. That’s what personal taste is about.”

Alongside the album release, the track “Camera” has been released as a new promotional single, accompanied by its official music video.
