Megadeth Announce Farewell Tour Dates in Barcelona and Madrid for 2027
American thrash metal pioneers Megadeth have announced the European leg of their farewell world tour, “Breakout: Hibernation of the Nations, ” which will make two Spanish stops in 2027. Dave Mustaine and the band will play April 10 at the Olímpic Arena in Badalona (Barcelona) and April 12 at the Movistar Arena in Madrid, joined by Black Label Society and thrash veterans Testament.
The European run kicks off March 9 in Belfast and spans 24 arena shows across the UK and continental Europe before wrapping up April 13 in Lisbon. Mustaine has stressed the tour isn’t meant as a goodbye, but as a celebration of four decades with fans.
The announcement follows one of the band’s most successful years yet: their self-titled seventeenth studio album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, the first time Megadeth has topped that chart. The farewell tour itself began in February 2026 in Victoria, Canada.
Tickets for the Spanish shows go on presale August 6 at 10:00 CET for Resurrection Fest 2026 and Megadeth 2026 tour buyers, with general sale following August 7 at 10:00 CET via route.resurrectionfest.es.
