Melendi returns with new album Pop Rock after a break from studio releases
Melendi has announced the release of his new album Pop Rock, marking his return with fully new material after several years without a studio project of this kind. The album is set to be released on May 8, while the vinyl edition will follow in June.
This will be the artist’s 13th studio album and continues his trajectory after recent projects, including the 2023 retrospective release in which he revisited earlier songs alongside other artists.
According to his label, Pop Rock emphasizes Melendi’s recognizable sound: guitar-driven arrangements, his distinctive voice, and direct lyrics. The title itself reflects the overall direction of the record.
In recent years, Melendi has maintained and expanded his audience, including younger listeners, as reflected in the continued interest in his music on streaming platforms.
The physical version of the album will be released on June 15. It has been announced that the first vinyl copies will include additional elements, although further details have not yet been disclosed.
Alongside the release, the artist is preparing a new tour set to begin in the autumn. Several dates have already shown strong demand, with some concerts selling out in advance and additional shows being added in certain cities.
As part of the tour, Melendi will perform at major venues across Spain, including Granada, Barcelona, Valencia, and Madrid.
