Iron Maiden Share New Trailer for “Burning Ambition” Documentary

Iron Maiden have released a second official trailer for their feature-length documentary “Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition”. The film is set to open in cinemas worldwide, including Spain, from 7 May 2026, for a limited theatrical run distributed by Universal Pictures International. Tickets went on sale 18 March.

Directed by Malcolm Venville (“Churchill At War”) and produced by Dominic Freeman — who previously helmed the Depeche Mode documentary “Spirits In The Forest” — the film spans five decades of the band’s history, from early pub gigs in East London to stadium concerts before millions of fans. The documentary features interviews with all six current members of the band alongside prominent admirers including Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, actor Javier Bardem and Public Enemy rapper Chuck D. It also contains the final on-camera interview with Paul Di’Anno, the band’s original vocalist, who died in 2024.

Founded in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, Iron Maiden have released 17 studio albums, sold over 100 million records and performed nearly 2,500 concerts across 64 countries. The release coincides with the ongoing second leg of the band’s “Run For Your Lives” world tour, marking their 50th anniversary.
