Manowar

Manowar in Spain: two classic albums played front to back, two nights apart

When Manowar say they are the Kings of Metal, they have been saying it since 1980 — and have spent over four decades building a case for the claim. The New York heavy metal quartet, widely credited with defining the sonic template for power metal as a genre, returns to Spain in March 2027 with a tour built around an unusual concept: two separate nights, each anchored by one complete classic album, performed from first track to last. No shuffled setlist, no greatest-hits compromise — just the record, in full.

Manowar’s longevity is the kind that does not come from compromise. More than forty world tours, gold and platinum records across multiple markets, and headline concerts filling venues of 10,000 to 50,000 people have established them as one of the most resilient acts in heavy metal history. Kings Of Metal (1988) and Fighting The World (1987) are the two albums at the centre of this tour — records whose tracks, from “Hail and Kill” and “Heart of Steel” to “Blow Your Speakers” and “Carry On”, have become genre touchstones across generations of metal listeners. Each album receives its own dedicated night.

Manowar last appeared in Spain in March 2025 at the Kingdom of Rock festival in Pamplona, an experience the band has cited as confirmation of the particular intensity of their Spanish following. The 2027 return responds directly to that: 18 March at Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid, where Kings Of Metal will be played in its entirety; 20 March at Olímpic Arena Badalona in Barcelona, dedicated to Fighting The World. Both nights will include “Carry On” as a specific tribute to the Spanish audience.
