Queens of the Stone Age Return to Spain with Their Signature Sound and a New Musical Chapter
After several years of relentless touring and creative exploration, Queens of the Stone Age are returning to Spain for two performances as part of Route Resurrection 2027. Led by Josh Homme, the band will take to the stages in Bilbao and Seville, bringing together their unmistakable sound, material from their latest album and songs that have become landmarks of modern rock.
Since emerging from California’s stoner rock scene in the 1990s, Queens of the Stone Age have developed a distinctive musical identity that has made them one of the most recognisable names in alternative rock. Heavy guitar riffs, driving rhythms, hypnotic grooves and a distinctive melodic approach have shaped a sound that continues to evolve while retaining its unmistakable character. Throughout their career, the band have consistently pushed beyond genre boundaries, establishing themselves as one of the defining guitar-driven acts of their generation.
The band’s latest creative chapter is marked by Perfecth, their ninth studio album, released on October 30, 2026. The record expands the group’s musical palette and reflects their continued willingness to explore different sonic directions. Recent years have also seen Queens of the Stone Age undertake distinctive projects, including Alive in the Catacombs, a live performance recorded in the Paris Catacombs. During their upcoming Spanish shows, audiences can expect to hear songs from the new album alongside major hits and selected tracks from across the band’s extensive catalogue.
Joining Queens of the Stone Age at both performances will be ZEP, a Dutch artist appearing as the special guest.
The Spanish leg of Route Resurrection 2027 features two confirmed dates:
June 16, 2027 — Bilbao, Bilbao Arena (Miribilla).
June 20, 2027 — Seville, Icónica Festival.
