Apple Music Classical launches a playlist inspired by Bluey

Apple Music Classical has introduced a new project that connects classical music with the world of the popular animated series Bluey. The release is the first official playlist inspired by the show, created specifically for the platform.

The playlist was curated by Joff Bush, the series’ composer. It is designed for shared listening and offers a more accessible and playful way for both children and adults to engage with orchestral music.

The release coincides with the launch of the new album Bluey: Up Here. It features 17 orchestral recordings created by the project’s music team. The recordings were made with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and the chamber ensemble Camerata, conducted by Joseph Twist.

An additional digital booklet has been prepared for users, providing context for the pieces and helping parents engage children in shared listening.

The musical concept continues the approach of the series itself, where classical compositions play a key role in storytelling. The playlist includes both original works written for the show and well-known pieces from the classical repertoire.

As Bush notes, orchestral music was conceived as an essential element of Bluey from the beginning, capable of creating an emotional response and enhancing the narrative. According to him, the new release aims to extend that experience beyond the screen.

In this way, Apple Music Classical continues to develop a format in which classical music becomes part of everyday cultural experience, including family listening.
