Havok in Spain: two cities, four bands, one thrash metal broadside in September
On September 23 and 24, 2026, Spain hosts one of the heaviest bills of the metal season. Havok — the Denver, Colorado quartet that has spent two decades at the sharp end of the thrash metal revival — play two Spanish dates: September 23 at Revi Live in Madrid and September 24 at Salamandra in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona. Joining them are Norwegian death metal veterans Blood Red Throne, Swiss up-and-comers Xonor, and Swedish nominees Eradikated — a four-band package where every slot carries genuine weight.
Havok were formed in 2004 and rapidly became one of the defining acts of the new thrash wave alongside Municipal Waste, Warbringer and Evile. Time Is Up (2011) remains a modern classic of the genre; Unnatural Selection (2013) cracked the Billboard 200; Conformicide (2017) sharpened the band’s politically charged edge and expanded their reach well beyond the underground. After V (2020) and the New Eyes EP (2024) — a raw, deliberately stripped-back return to old-school thrash and D-beat hardcore energy — the band is working toward a new full-length for 2026. Their touring CV includes runs alongside Megadeth, Anthrax, Testament and Kreator.
Blood Red Throne were founded in 1998 by guitarist Daniel “Død” Olaisen during his tenure in Satyricon. Nearly three decades on, the Norwegian death metal outfit have just released their twelfth album, Siltskin (December 2025, Soulseller Records), described by the band themselves as their heaviest, fastest and most melodic record to date. Xonor, a four-piece from St. Gallen, Switzerland, founded in 2020 and built a sizable international following through digital platforms and relentless live activity, with a sound rooted in Kreator and Lamb of God. Eradikated, from Skåne, Sweden, released their debut album Descendants (2023) via Indie Recordings, earning a Swedish Grammy nomination in the “Best Hard Rock/Metal of the Year” category alongside Ghost, In Flames, Marduk and Tribulation. Tickets start at €30 in advance and €35 at the door, exclusively through madnesslive.es.
