Vanessa Paradis Comes to Barcelona with Her Long-Awaited New Album
Seven years is a long time between records. Vanessa Paradis ended that wait on October 10, 2025, with Le Retour des beaux jours — her eighth studio album and first new music since Les Sources in 2018. In the intervening years she had focused almost entirely on acting and theatre, but the return to music was not rushed or forced: the album grew from a genuine creative impulse, built in close collaboration with Étienne Daho and pianist Jean-Louis Piérot, who co-wrote, composed and produced the whole record with her. The sessions moved between the Motorbass Studio in Paris and Studio 2 at Abbey Road in London — the room where the Beatles recorded, now filled with a 27-piece orchestra arranged for Paradis. Her children Lily-Rose Depp and Jack Depp each contribute to the album: Lily-Rose co-wrote I Am Alive, Jack composed the music for Éléments.
The result draws warmly and openly from the soul and R& B sound of the 1960s and 1970s: orchestrated, danceable, intimate, and shaped by a voice that has only deepened with time. The lead single “Bouquet Final” became one of the standout songs of summer 2025; the title track, composed entirely by Daho, sets the album’s emotional tone — tender, bittersweet, resolutely hopeful. The tour supporting the album opened in France in March 2026, with demand in Paris so strong that a second Zénith date was added after the first sold out. Now, the tour makes its Spanish stop.
On October 8, 2026, Vanessa Paradis plays Sala Apolo in Barcelona as part of the 28th Festival Mil·lenni, one of the most respected concert cycles in the city, known for presenting major international names in intimate settings. Doors open at 7:30 PM; the show begins at 8:30 PM.
