Blood Red Shoes

Blood Red Shoes Are Back in Spain With New Music and a Long-Awaited Tour

Blood Red Shoes have spent more than two decades proving that two people are all you need to fill a room. Brighton-based duo Laura-Mary Carter and Steven Ansell formed in 2004, released their debut album Box of Secrets in 2008, and have been relentless ever since: six studio albums, over 1,200 live shows worldwide, their own independent label Jazz Life, a support slot for the Pixies on their 2019 European tour, and stages ranging from small clubs to Glastonbury. Their sound has shifted with each record — from the raw, high-energy rock of their early work to the darker synth-driven atmosphere of Ghosts on Tape (2022) — but the duo’s core identity has never wavered: stripped back, loud, and entirely on their own terms.

Their 2026 tour marks the first full run since the 20th anniversary shows they played in 2024, and it arrives with something the band hasn’t delivered in four years: new material. Every note of it written, produced, and mixed by Carter and Ansell themselves — no outside producers, no label interference. The lead single “Screams”, released on March 30, 2026, is the first taste of what’s to come. Live, the set will draw from across their entire catalogue alongside the new songs, which means everything from “It’s Getting Boring by the Sea” to “Murder Me” is on the table.

Spain gets three consecutive nights: October 1, 2026 at Moby Dick in Madrid (9:00 PM), October 2 at Sala Azkena in Bilbao (9:00 PM), and October 3 at Razzmatazz 2 in Barcelona (9:00 PM). Three cities in three nights — a proper tour, not just a flyby.

Tickets are priced at a flat €27 and available through LiveNation.es and Ticketmaster. Under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian holding a ticket in the same section.
