Shakira brings her record-breaking world tour residency to Madrid
Shakira is coming back to Spain. Eight years after her last performance in the country during the El Dorado World Tour, the Colombian superstar has chosen Madrid as the European home of a landmark residency — the closing chapter of one of the most successful concert tours in music history.
The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour launched in February 2025 and has shattered records ever since. Certified by the Guinness World Records as the highest-grossing tour by a Hispanic artist of all time, the run has generated over $420 million. The accompanying album won the Grammy for Best Latin Album and reached 7x Platinum certification. On March 1, 2026, Shakira gathered more than 400,000 people at Mexico City’s Zócalo — confirmed by city authorities as the largest crowd ever assembled in that historic public square.
The three Madrid concerts will take place on September 25, 26 and 27, 2026 at the Estadio Shakira, a purpose-built temporary venue within the Iberdrola Music complex in the Villaverde district. Designed by the renowned architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) — who created Adele’s residency venue in Munich — the stadium will hold over 50,000 fans per night, with full-sightline design, cutting-edge acoustics and premium experiences. This marks the first time the international artistic residency format has been brought to Spain.
The event extends well beyond the concerts themselves. Under the concept Es Latina, Shakira has curated an immersive cultural programme that will include art exhibitions, talks, workshops, cinema, gastronomy and literature, transforming the stadium into a cultural city within Madrid. General ticket sales open on March 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM (CET) via Livenation.es, Ticketmaster and El Corte Inglés. Fan presale for those registered at shakira.com begins March 24 at 10:00 AM. Ticket prices are yet to be announced.
