Xandria Are Bringing Eclipse to Barcelona
German symphonic metal icons Xandria are heading to Barcelona this autumn for one of the most anticipated metal shows of the season. The band will perform at Razzmatazz 3 on September 24, 2026, as part of the Eclipse Europe Tour in support of their new studio album Eclipse, due August 7, 2026 via Napalm Records. Seven Spires and Tulip will open the night — two acts that share Xandria’s taste for orchestral scale and powerful vocals, making this a proper showcase of where the genre stands right now.
Xandria’s current chapter began in 2022 with a sweeping lineup change and the arrival of vocalist Ambre Vourvahis, whose voice ranges from operatic soprano to hard rock delivery to extreme metal growls — often within the same song. The reformed lineup made an immediate impact with The Wonders Still Awaiting (2023), a cinematic record that reached number nine on the German charts and reasserted the band as a leading force in the genre. In 2024, the nine-track EP Universal Tales followed — four new originals alongside their orchestral counterparts — showing a band writing with real confidence. Eclipse arrives now as their most ambitious step yet: eleven tracks that, according to the band, represent the most varied body of work of their career.
Joining Xandria on stage are two compelling acts. Seven Spires emerged from the Boston scene and the Berklee College of Music environment, blending melodic metal with blackened and progressive elements into something distinctly their own. Tulip, a Texas trio fronted by former opera singer Ashleigh Semkiw, rounds out the lineup with heavy riffs and symphonic sensibility delivered with a strong sense of identity.
