The full authorised biography of Tupac Shakur has been released in Spain
The book “Tupac Shakur — Authorized Biography”, presented as the most complete officially approved portrait of the legendary rapper Tupac Shakur, is now available in Spanish through the publishing house Liburuak.
The book was written by author and childhood friend of the artist Stacey Robinson, who was selected by Tupac’s mother Afeni Shakur to work on the project. It draws on access to the family archive and includes previously unpublished materials such as personal notes, documents, and photographs that had never been shared publicly.
Beyond tracing Tupac’s rise and his impact on contemporary culture, the biography focuses on his emotional complexity and his engagement with issues of racial inequality and social injustice in the United States.
The book also aims to move away from long-standing myths surrounding his figure, offering a more grounded and documentary perspective on his life and legacy. The Spanish translation was completed by Miguel Stamp.
