Noches Mágicas enters its second week after a successful opening: 40 tickets left for Ara Malikian, Ana Torroja sold out
Festival Noches Mágicas 2026 has come through its opening weekend in strong form and now faces its second and most intense week, with six major concerts still ahead. The ticket picture says it clearly: Ana Torroja on August 1 is completely sold out; Ara Malikian on July 28 has approximately 40 general tickets remaining, with all VIP places already gone; and Rodrigo Cuevas on August 2 has also sold out its VIP allocation.
The opening weekend confirmed what the festival has been building since 2011. The Jardines de Abril once again proved that Noches Mágicas is something broader than a concert series: from the moment the gates open at 20:00, the experience unfolds on its own terms — walks through the gardens, visits to the art exhibitions, time at the artisan market, dinner in the gastronomic zone, a warm-up act on the Escenario Jardín. The space and its rhythm set the mood before the headliner plays a single note.
Friday July 24 opened with the 80's Summer Party, headlined by Modestia Aparte and Toreros con Chanclas, who kept a constant and energetic dialogue with the audience throughout the evening — talking between songs, pulling the crowd in, turning the night into a shared celebration of anthems that cross generational lines. Saturday July 25 brought the edition’s major novelty: the first-ever 90's Summer Party in the festival’s history. The night was defined by its momentum, with a crowd that was fully committed from the opening act. Twenty 4 Seven drew surprise reactions by performing several passages a cappella and incorporating beatbox into their arrangements; Double You, Just Luis and Viceversa filled in the rest of the decade’s soundtrack, hitting songs that the audience clearly knew word for word. Sunday July 26 brought the first weekend to a close with Miguel Campello, whose 25th anniversary tour concert was intense, emotional and thoroughly connected throughout.
One of the weekend’s most telling moments came after the concerts. The DJ zone held hundreds of people who refused to leave: in the open-air setting of the Jardines de Abril, crowds danced to hits spanning multiple decades until the last possible minute, underscoring the experiential character that sets Noches Mágicas apart from any standard festival format.
The second week begins this Tuesday, July 28 with Ara Malikian and “Intruso” — a show in which the internationally renowned violinist explores the music and cultures of different peoples through his own highly personal artistic lens. Approximately 40 tickets remain. Thursday, July 30 brings Israel Fernández with “De oro y marfil”, one of the most ambitious productions in contemporary flamenco, combining piano, strings and cante into a work of considerable artistic depth. Friday, July 31 is Nach's night, presenting “Destino” — his first album in seven years — live for the first time, alongside the most defining tracks of a career that has made him the central reference point of rap in Spanish. Saturday, August 1 is the most in-demand evening of the entire edition: Ana Torroja, sold out. Sunday, August 2 sees Rodrigo Cuevas perform “La Belleza”, a show that blends Asturian folk tradition, electronics and avant-garde performance with complete naturalness — VIP tickets gone. The festival closes on Thursday, August 6 with La Banda Sabinera, the historic musicians of Joaquín Sabina's band, in a night designed to make the audience as much a part of the show as the performers on stage.
The artistic program continues to expand. Visual artist Nasper joins the exhibition route and will carry out two sessions of live painting on July 31 and August 6, opening his creative process to the public in real time. Sculptor Amador Llorens also enters the program, his works joining the artistic itinerary that turns the Jardines de Abril into a full open-air exhibition space.
