Ghost concert film “2 Big To Rig” to hit Spanish cinemas on August 26

Fans of the Swedish rock band Ghost will soon have the chance to see the concert film “2 Big To Rig” on the big screen. The movie is scheduled to premiere on August 26 and will be shown in selected cinemas across Spain, including some IMAX venues. Organizers have confirmed that the release will be limited, although the full screening schedule and the list of participating theaters have not yet been announced.

The film is built around two Ghost performances held in September 2025 at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City. Shot on 16 mm film, the concerts attracted approximately 40,000 spectators. In addition to the live footage, the production includes previously unseen backstage material, offering a look at the band’s preparations for the large-scale shows of the Skeletour World Tour, which supported the album Skeletá.

The project was directed by Amir Chamdin. The film focuses on the stage presence of Papa V Perpetua and the performance of Ghost’s musicians, known as the Nameless Ghouls. According to the filmmakers, audiences can expect not only a concert recording, but also an exclusive behind-the-scenes perspective on one of the most spectacular rock productions of recent years.

The movie will be released worldwide simultaneously with screenings in other countries, and its theatrical run will be available for a limited time only.
