LINKIN PARK, SMASHING PUMPKINS and RAMONES to Receive Stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced the names of the entertainment industry figures who will receive stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2027. Among the music honorees are the legendary bands LINKIN PARK, SMASHING PUMPKINS, and RAMONES.
The new class of recipients was selected by the Walk of Fame Selection Committee after reviewing hundreds of nominations. The committee made its selections in May 2026, and the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors officially approved them in July. The names of the new honorees were announced during a special press conference in Hollywood on July 23.
Selection Committee Chair Peter Roth said that this year’s honorees have made an outstanding contribution to the global entertainment industry and have had a lasting impact on audiences through their talent, creativity, and dedication. He added that the committee is proud to welcome the new members to one of Hollywood’s most enduring symbols of achievement.
In the Recording category, stars will also be awarded to Karol G, David Guetta, Waylon Jennings (posthumously), Grandmaster Flash (Joseph Saddler), Marc Shaiman, Sia, and Lil Wayne.
The list of 2027 honorees also includes well-known actors, television personalities, and live performers, including Idris Elba, Sam Elliott, Kate Hudson, Sam Rockwell, Pedro Pascal, Lisa Kudrow, Adam Scott, Nicole Scherzinger, Joe Koy, and others.
The dates of the star unveiling ceremonies have not yet been announced. Under the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s rules, recipients have two years from the date of selection to schedule their ceremonies. Ceremony dates are typically announced about ten days in advance.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame remains one of Los Angeles' most famous landmarks, featuring thousands of stars honoring outstanding achievements in motion pictures, television, music, radio, live theatre, and sports entertainment.
