Festival Noches Mágicas 2026 opens this week: two weeks of music, art and gastronomy in the Jardines de Abril
Festival Noches Mágicas 2026 begins this week. The fourteenth edition of one of the Alicante province’s defining summer cultural events runs July 24 through August 6 in the Jardines de Abril of Sant Joan d’Alacant — an open-air space where live music, visual art, gastronomy and natural surroundings come together as a single experience. The lineup brings together Modestia Aparte, Toreros con Chanclas, Twenty 4 Seven, Double You, Just Luis, Viceversa, Miguel Campello, Ara Malikian, Israel Fernández, Nach, Ana Torroja, Rodrigo Cuevas and La Banda Sabinera across fourteen days. Ana Torroja’s concert on August 1 is the only show in the program that has already sold out completely.
The festival was officially presented last Friday at Sant Joan d’Alacant’s town hall, at an institutional event attended by mayor Santiago Román, tourism councillor Charo Tomás and festival director José Joaquín Ten. All three highlighted the cultural, tourist and economic value Noches Mágicas brings to the municipality and the wider province, reaffirming their shared commitment to consolidating the Jardines de Abril as a reference point for culture and tourism in the region. The 2025 edition drew more than 20,000 attendees, and 2026 arrives with ambitions to keep growing.
The opening night falls on Friday, July 24 with the 80's Summer Party, headlined by Modestia Aparte and Toreros con Chanclas — a night built around the biggest anthems of the eighties. The following evening, Saturday July 25, brings one of the edition’s main new additions: the debut 90's Summer Party, with Twenty 4 Seven, Double You, Just Luis and Viceversa gathering the defining voices of nineties dance and eurodance on a single stage. Sunday July 26 closes the first week with Miguel Campello and his 25th anniversary tour, a look back across a quarter century of work.
The second week opens on July 28 with Ara Malikian, the internationally renowned violinist and performer who brings his new show “Intruso” to the Jardines de Abril. On July 30, Israel Fernández presents “De oro y marfil”, the latest chapter in a career that has established him as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary flamenco. July 31 belongs to Nach with “Origen: La raíz de una cultura”, an intimate and powerful show in which he traces his artistic legacy and the roots of hip hop culture, coinciding with the release of his new album “Destino”. August 1 brings the second 80's Summer Party with Ana Torroja — sold out in advance, with no tickets remaining. August 2 sees Rodrigo Cuevas perform “La Belleza”, a show that weaves Asturian folk music, performance and contemporary theatre into a single evening. The festival closes on August 6 with La Banda Sabinera, the musicians from Joaquín Sabina's historic band, paying tribute to one of the most expansive catalogues in Spanish songwriting.
Doors open at 20:00 each evening, well before the main performance — one of the festival’s defining features. The experience is designed to begin slowly, at dusk, not at the start of a set. During the first week, the Escenario Jardín hosts warm-up acts: July 24 brings rock band Situación Límite; July 25, covers band Rocky4; and July 26, Lentejitas, the project of Spanish producer, composer and artist Bea Núñez, fusing electronics, Arabic influences, urban beats and flamenco vocal lines. After the 80's Summer Party, Jes Set takes the decks; after the 90's Summer Party, AMA Dj’s — Marcos Amorós, Ralph Video dj and Valentín Berenguer — carry the night forward.
The parallel artistic program includes five exhibitions: works by Nelia Herrero, Beatriz Oliva, Francis Rubio, Garbis Adrian Hofman and Rosaura Pérez Vicent will be on view through the festival’s opening days. Daily performances add a layer of surprise to each evening: magician Juan El Mago will be present across the first three days, while on July 24 artist EliaSere Art will carry out a Live Painting action at the festival’s opening event.
Since its founding in 2011, Noches Mágicas has maintained a formula that makes each evening something broader than a concert: gastronomy, an artisan market, nature and live music as parts of a single whole. A proposal that returns in 2026 stronger than ever.
