Italian power metallers Frozen Crown delve into Tolkien’s world with new single “The One”
Italian band Frozen Crown head out on their darkest journey yet with “The One, ” the first single from their upcoming album “The Legend Of The Six Kings, ” due October 2, 2026 via Napalm Records. The track opens the band’s more narrative approach, wrapping listeners in mysterious darkness against sweeping, bright melodies. Inspired by 20th-century fantasy literature — namely J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord Of The Rings” — the Italian six-piece returns in strong form: grand choruses, powerful riffs and pure heavy power metal.
According to the band, “The One” marks a new beginning for Frozen Crown, showing the wicked, dark side of the group, as singer Giada “Jade” Etro turns heel, claiming the throne and the literal “frozen crown, ” leading the wraith kings in search of The One. The accompanying video was crafted by director Raoul Noise alongside prop designer Daria Gislon, bringing to life a vibrant, obscure world that sits between Tolkien’s harmonious, regal aesthetics and Robert E. Howard’s brutality.
“The Legend Of The Six Kings” marks the band’s sixth studio album — and second on Napalm Records. Its ten new heavy power metal tracks expand the group’s dynamic repertoire into a slightly darker, yet still illustrious direction, drawing directly from their debut record “The Fallen King” and continuing the saga of the Kings and the Tyrant. The album also includes a power-metal cover of “Iris, ” the 1998 hit by American alt-rock band Goo Goo Dolls.
Frozen Crown’s lineup consists of Giada “Jade” Etro (vocals), Federico Mondelli (guitar, vocals), Niso Tomasini (drums), Francesco Zof (bass, vocals), and Alessia Lanzone and Aleksandra Stamenkovic (guitars). The band will support Kamelot on a North American tour in August and September (alongside Visions Of Atlantis), and open for Beast In Black on a European tour in October and November with support from Sonata Arctica, including Spanish dates in Barcelona (November 11, Razzmatazz 1) and Bilbao (November 13, Santana 27).
