The Vintage Caravan: Icelandic Rock Rooted in Psychedelia and Progressive Sound

The Vintage Caravan, an Icelandic rock trio from Reykjavík, are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a tour across Spain. Their music brings together classic rock and progressive rock, with psychedelic textures, expressive guitar work and dynamic rhythms. Drawing on the traditions of earlier rock generations, the band develops those influences through its own approach to songwriting, arrangement and live performance.

Over the course of their career, The Vintage Caravan have appeared at major European festivals, including Resurrection Fest, Wacken, Hellfest, Werchter and Roskilde. They have also toured across Europe as a support act for bands such as Opeth, Europe and Blues Pills. Their extensive stage experience is central to their identity, with tightly coordinated instrumentation, prominent guitar riffs and shifts in intensity shaping the character of their live shows.

Released in 2025, Portals marks a further stage in the band’s musical development. The album brings classic rock influences together with a contemporary approach to arrangement, balancing melody and instrumental weight with progressive structures. The anniversary tour offers audiences an opportunity to experience the trio’s current sound in a live setting.

The Spanish leg of the tour will visit six cities. On 2 November 2026, the band will play Sala Even in Seville; on 4 November, Loco Club in Valencia; on 5 November, Rock & Blues Café in Zaragoza; on 6 November, Sala Clamores in Madrid; on 7 November, Helldorado in Vitoria-Gasteiz; and on 8 November, Sala Upload in Barcelona.
