Fillas de Cassandra in Madrid: Where Galician Tradition Meets Contemporary Electronic Music
Galician duo Fillas de Cassandra will bring their second studio album, Tertúlia, to La Riviera in Madrid. Formed by Vigo-born musicians María SOA and Sara Faro, the project brings together contemporary electronic music, Galician oral tradition and vocal experimentation, creating a distinctive sound that connects cultural heritage with a modern musical perspective.
Released in 2026, Tertúlia explores everyday life and the relationships that develop through conversation, friendship and celebration. Created by Fillas de Cassandra with musical production shared with Çantamarta, the album moves between provocation and tenderness, expanding the sonic world the duo has been developing throughout their career.
Following the release of Acrópole and the subsequent Hibernarse project, María SOA and Sara Faro continue to shape an artistic identity rooted in Galician culture while remaining open to new sounds and forms of expression. Their music brings traditional influences into dialogue with electronic production, placing the interplay of voices at the heart of their compositions.
The Madrid concert offers an opportunity to experience the songs from Tertúlia in a live setting, where music becomes a shared experience between performers and audience. The show is part of the Ochoymedio Live programme and will take place at La Riviera. For listeners interested in contemporary Spanish music, Fillas de Cassandra offer a distinctive meeting point between regional heritage, electronic experimentation and a fresh perspective on everyday relationships and collective celebration.
