EPICA Brings Its Symphonic Universe to Madrid with Orchestra and Choir
Dutch band EPICA, one of the leading names in contemporary symphonic metal, will come to Madrid with The Symphonic Synergy Tour 2027. The concert will take place at Palacio Vistalegre as part of the band’s 25th-anniversary celebrations. For this special production, the group will present its music in an expanded live format featuring an orchestra and choir.
The Symphonic Synergy brings together the heavy guitar riffs, expressive vocals and intricate compositions that define EPICA’s sound with orchestral arrangements and choral performances. The combination builds on the band’s established musical identity, giving its repertoire a broader symphonic dimension. Previous editions of the project in Amsterdam and Mexico City attracted more than 30,000 people combined.
Another important chapter in the band’s creative journey is Aspiral, its ninth studio album. The record continues EPICA’s exploration of the relationship between metal, melody and orchestral composition. Throughout its career, the group has developed a distinctive approach in which powerful guitars, layered vocal parts and symphonic elements work together as integral parts of its music.
With The Symphonic Synergy Tour 2027, EPICA is bringing this concert concept to major venues across Europe. The Madrid performance offers audiences the opportunity to experience the band’s music in a format that combines the intensity of metal with the scale and richness of live orchestral and choral accompaniment. The show also forms part of a milestone year for a band whose symphonic approach has remained central to its artistic identity.
