Digital Ozzy Osbourne: his family is developing an AI version to interact with fans worldwide

Ozzy Osbourne’s family is working on a digital version of the artist that will be able to interact with fans through real-time conversations. The project was presented by Sharon and Jack Osbourne during Licensing Expo 2026 in Las Vegas.

The initiative is being developed in partnership with tech company Hyperreal, which specializes in AI-driven digital avatars. According to Jack Osbourne, the goal is to recreate the musician’s “digital DNA, ” including his voice, appearance, and characteristic movements.

The concept is for this virtual Ozzy to respond to user questions in real time, using his own voice and replicating his manner of speaking. Sharon Osbourne noted that the technology has reached a level where the interaction feels highly realistic.

Hyperreal has previously worked on similar projects, creating digital versions of figures such as Stan Lee, Paul McCartney, Notorious B.I.G., and Mike Tyson, used in both public events and commercial applications.

This new initiative is not only intended to bring the artist closer to his audience but also forms part of a broader strategy to expand his legacy. The digital version could be used in advertising, media content, and other formats.

The project was introduced during a panel focused on the cultural impact of Ozzy Osbourne and his family, covering his career from Black Sabbath to his solo work, as well as his influence beyond music through the reality show “The Osbournes.”

Interest in Ozzy’s legacy continues to grow, with several major projects in development, including a biographical film, the return of Ozzfest, and other fan-focused initiatives.

In this context, the creation of a digital version of the artist represents a step toward bringing his presence into the digital age while maintaining a connection with audiences.
