MESSA Brings Its Atmospheric, Dark Doom Metal to Spain
Italian doom metal band MESSA is preparing for their first shows in Spain: the group has announced their first headlining tour across Europe and the UK following their fourth album, 'The Spin.' The band describes its sound as 'Scarlet Doom, ' blending atmospheric doom metal with jazz, blues, gothic rock and dark ambient into an intense, emotional experience.
The album was recorded using original 1980s equipment and explores textures closer t gothic rock and dark wave, cementing MESSA as one of the most relevant acts in contemporary doom. Formed in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, the band has built a career spanning more than a decade, with acclaimed albums such as Belfry, Feast For Water and Close, and arrives after sold-out shows at home and a European tour supporting Paradise Lost.
Two Spanish dates are set: October 28, 2026 in Barcelona, a Sala Salamandra, and October 29, 2026 in Madrid, a Sala Copérnico. The Night Eternal will open both shows.
