Most exciting upcoming album releases:
June 5, 2026
The beginning of June brings one of the most diverse release Fridays of the year. The main highlights of the week are undoubtedly the new albums from Evanescence, Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, Lizzo, Niall Horan, Barry Manilow, and August Burns Red. After a five-year wait, Evanescence return with their sixth studio album Sanctuary, featuring the singles “Afterlife” and “Who Will You Follow”. Death Cab For Cutie present I Built You a Tower, their first release for Anti- Records and a continuation of their creative collaboration with producer John Congleton. Equally significant is An Eraser and a Maze by Modest Mouse, the band’s first studio album in five years and a new chapter in their history following an extended break. Fans of heavier music can look forward to Season Of Surrender by August Burns Red, the American metalcore veterans’ eleventh studio album, as well as Hum Of Hurt by Converge. Among the most anticipated pop releases are Bitch by Lizzo, Dinner Party by Niall Horan, and What a Time by Barry Manilow, who returns with his first studio album in several years.
The week is equally packed across other genres. Irish rock trio Dea Matrona release Hate That I Care, Swedish metal band Evergrey return with Architects Of A New Weave, and Cyhra unveil Requiem For A Pipe Dream. Other notable heavy releases include Armour Of Angels by Guilt Trip and Rise Of The Mutated by Embryonic Autopsy. Fans of indie and alternative music will find plenty to explore with new albums from Bella White (A Sign in the Weather), Widowspeak (Roses), Of Montreal (Aethermead), The Dharma Chain (Some Kind of Pure State), and Rosa Walton (Tell Me It’s A Dream). This week’s release schedule also includes albums from Brockhoff (Easy Peeler), Caleb Caudle (Heavy Thrill), Dwarves (Jenken), Los Galgos (Los Galgos), Madsen (Smile), Midnight Rider (Limited Infinity), Pink Floyd (8-Tracks), Slippers (Slippers 08), The Joy Thieves (Apocalypse Pending), and Vince Staples (Cry Baby), making June 5 a release day with something for virtually every musical taste.
