Museo de Cera de Madrid unveils Bad Bunny wax figure

Madrid’s Museo de Cera unveiled a wax figure of Bad Bunny on May 28, timed to coincide with the Puerto Rican artist’s residency at the Spanish capital’s Riyadh Air Metropolitano stadium. The piece has quickly become one of the most talked-about additions to the museum’s collection in recent years.

The figure took five months to complete. Artisans reproduced Bad Bunny’s signature finger-snap pose and inserted each strand of hair and beard individually into the wax for maximum realism. His tattoos were painstakingly recreated one by one by professional tattoo artist Adrián Sánchez, known as Black Sánchez. The look references the artist’s current creative era — “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS” — with an unbuttoned white shirt, beige trousers, trainers and sunglasses. The surrounding set dresses the scene with beach chairs, palm trees and a Puerto Rican flag.

The unveiling came just ahead of Bad Bunny’s first of ten scheduled nights at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano as part of the “Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour”. He had already played two dates in Barcelona on May 22 and 23 at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. Across his Spanish run, the artist is expected to draw more than 600,000 attendees in total.
