Combichrist revisit their electro-industrial roots on a special tour with XPQ-21
Combichrist are returning to Spain with their Electro Combichristmas Tour 2026, bringing a special live programme focused on the band’s early electronic sound. Led by Andy LaPlegua, the group will perform an Old School Electro Set, revisiting the electro-industrial material that helped shape their musical identity. They will be joined by XPQ-21, a project closely associated with the European alternative electronic scene.
Combichrist have developed a distinctive sound at the intersection of industrial, EBM and aggressive electronic music. Their early work combined forceful synth lines, mechanical rhythms and a dark club-oriented atmosphere. This approach established the band as a recognisable name within the alternative electronic landscape and remains an essential part of their history. The upcoming tour brings that original direction back into focus, highlighting the electronic foundations of their sound.
The Old School Electro Set will form the centrepiece of the Spanish shows. The format is dedicated to the band’s early electro material, where industrial intensity meets dance-driven rhythms and the aesthetics of EBM. For longtime followers, the performances offer a chance to revisit a defining chapter in Combichrist’s catalogue and hear the elements that shaped their early identity in a dedicated live setting.
Joining Combichrist on the tour, XPQ-21 will bring their own approach to the darker side of electronic music. Their sound draws on EBM, futurepop and electro punk, connecting different strands of the European alternative scene. Together, the two projects create a programme centred on industrial electronics and the distinctive energy of live performance.
The Spanish leg of Electro Combichristmas Tour 2026 includes two performances:
December 4, 2026 — L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona, Sala Salamandra.
December 5, 2026 — Madrid, Sala Nazca.
Combichrist and XPQ-21 will bring their distinct perspectives on electro-industrial music to two Spanish stages. With a special set dedicated to Combichrist’s early electronic sound, the tour offers a focused live programme for fans of industrial, EBM and dark alternative electronics, as well as listeners interested in the evolution of the genre.
