Black Label Society Unveil Engines Of Demolition Album Featuring a Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne
American heavy metal band Black Label Society have officially announced the release of their new studio album Engines Of Demolition, scheduled to arrive on March 27, 2026. The record will be released via MNRK Heavy and will mark the band’s twelfth full-length album over a career spanning more than 25 years.
The new album will be the first studio release from Black Label Society since Doom Crew Inc., which came out in 2021. In the years since, frontman Zakk Wylde has remained active on the road and has released several standalone singles, gradually laying the groundwork for the next major release. Engines Of Demolition includes previously unveiled tracks such as Broken And Blind, Lord Humungus, and The Gallows, which set the heavy and dark tone of the album.
One of the most talked-about aspects of the upcoming release is the inclusion of a track titled Ozzy’s Song, a tribute to legendary vocalist Ozzy Osbourne. The song serves as a musical homage to the artist with whom Zakk Wylde shared a long and close professional relationship as a guitarist, songwriter, and touring band member.
The connection between Zakk Wylde and Ozzy Osbourne holds a special place in the history of heavy music. Wylde joined Osbourne’s band in the late 1980s and, with brief breaks, remained his primary guitarist through the final years of Osbourne’s career. He also performed at Osbourne’s final concert, Back to the Beginning, held in July 2025. Osbourne’s passing on July 22, 2025, has given Ozzy’s Song added emotional and historical significance.
The standard edition of Engines Of Demolition features 13 core tracks, while expanded editions include acoustic Unblackened versions. This approach continues the band’s tradition of reinterpreting their material by blending heavy riffs with more atmospheric and melodic arrangements.
Alongside the album’s release, Black Label Society are planning a tour in support of Engines Of Demolition, primarily across North America. Select dates will feature performances by Zakk Sabbath, Wylde’s tribute project dedicated to the music of Black Sabbath, further emphasizing the album’s strong ties to the legacy of classic heavy metal.
Engines Of Demolition is already being regarded as one of the most anticipated metal releases of 2026. The album not only continues the unmistakable sound of Black Label Society, but also captures an important moment in the genre’s history — a farewell to the era of Ozzy Osbourne and a respectful tribute from one of his most loyal musical allies.
