Wucan bring their “heavy flute rock” to four Spanish cities
German band Wucan return to Spain in October 2026 with four shows as part of their European tour. For two of them — Barcelona and Madrid — they’ll share the bill with Canadian band Anciients, who are bringing their own headline tour, Ascent of the Fallen Ones, to Europe for the first time in over a decade.
Led by Francis Tobolsky, the band’s only constant member since its founding, Wucan have carved out a singular space in the European rock scene with what they call “heavy flute rock”: a blend of classic hard rock, acid rock, psychedelic folk, and blues built around hypnotic riffs and the flute as a lead instrument. The band’s current lineup came together in 2012 with the arrival of Tim George and Patrik Dröge. Anciients, for their part, combine sludge and extreme metal aggression with progressive structures and a strong melodic sensibility; their latest album, Beyond the Reach of the Sun (2024), earned them a JUNO Award.
The Spanish dates are October 13, 2026, in Barcelona, at Razzmatazz 3, and October 14, 2026, in Madrid, at Rockville — both with Anciients. Wucan then continue on their own: October 15, 2026, in Portugalete, at Groove, and October 16, 2026, in Pamplona (Villava), at Totem Magna.
Presale for Madness Live! members opened on June 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with double loyalty points. General sale began on June 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Prices vary by date: in Barcelona and Madrid, tickets start at 28 € in advance and 33 € at the door; in Portugalete and Pamplona, from 23 € in advance and 28 € at the door.
