Shakira returns to Spain after eight years away
Colombian singer Shakira is returning to Spain for the first time in eight years, marking the European residency of her world tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which in 2025 set the Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing tour by a Hispanic artist. Rather than a standard run of one-off shows, the artist has opted for a format rarely seen in Spain: twelve consecutive nights at a single venue.
For the occasion, a temporary stadium called Estadio Shakira will be built in Madrid, inside the Iberdrola Music complex, designed by architecture firm BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) — the same team behind “Adele World” for Adele’s Munich residency in 2024. The venue will hold more than 50,000 fans each night. The residency comes with a cultural program called Es Latina, bringing together concerts, exhibitions, talks, workshops, film, food, and literature centered on Latin culture. Just months earlier, on March 1, Shakira drew a crowd of more than 400,000 to Mexico City’s Zócalo, in a show that featured artist Beéle, with whom she recently released the single “Algo Tú.”
The confirmed Spanish dates are September 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27, and October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11, 2026, in Madrid, at Estadio Shakira in Iberdrola Music. All shows start at 8:30 PM.
Tickets range from 73.50 € for PL4 tiered seating up to 181.50 € for the Front Stage area, with general standing admission at 119 €; VIP packages are also available, from 328.50 € to 600 €. Due to overwhelming demand, more than 450,000 tickets have already sold in record time. Fans under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
