Over 6,000 people attend Maror Festival’s third edition: La Fúmiga’s farewell and M-Clan’s anniversary show
More than 6,000 people attended Maror Festival's third edition over the past weekend, confirming the festival’s status as one of the major early-summer music events in the Comunitat Valenciana. On June 26 and 27, Playa de la Antoneta in La Vila Joiosa once again became a stage by the Mediterranean, hosting M-Clan, La Fúmiga, El Diluvi, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, Carlos Ares, Esther, DJ Plan B, DJ Andrew, Romàntic Dimoni, Cactus, DJ Jajajers, Naina, DJ Las Hienas and Rö, winner of La Vila Talent Fest 2026.
The opening day delivered several of the edition’s most memorable moments. Esther opened the festival with an intimate, deeply felt set, while Carlos Ares won over the crowd with an elegant performance blending folk, pop and rock with roots-driven sounds. The night built momentum with the energy of Sanguijuelas del Guadiana and reached its peak with M-Clan, who had thousands of attendees singing along to Spanish rock anthems including Carolina, Maggie Despierta and Llamando a la Tierra. Friday closed out with sets from Romàntic Dimoni, DJ Plan B and DJ Andrew, keeping the party going well into the early hours.
Saturday opened with Rö, winner of La Vila Talent Fest 2026, who kicked off the second day by showing exactly the kind of emerging talent the festival continues to champion. Shortly after came one of the night’s first big moments with Cactus, whose powerful, high-energy set had the entire venue dancing within minutes.
One of the most emotional and intense moments of this edition came courtesy of La Fúmiga. The Valencian band chose Maror Festival for what will be its final concert in the province of Alicante, as part of the L'Últim Abraç farewell tour marking the end of a thirteen-year career. It wasn’t just any performance: La Fúmiga had been part of the festival’s very first edition, and now returned to say goodbye to the province on the same stage where some of Maror’s earliest chapters were written. During the show, the band thanked the audience for years of support, reminding the crowd that “you should always go back to the places where you’ve been happy” — a line that triggered one of the loudest ovations of the entire weekend.
The emotional thread continued with El Diluvi, who celebrated their fifteenth anniversary on the Maror stage as part of a tour built around exactly fifteen shows. The night closed with performances from Naina, DJ Jajajers and DJ Las Hienas, bringing to a close an edition that once again turned Antoneta park into one of the great musical meeting points on the Mediterranean coast.
Beyond the music, the festival once again offered a full experience for every kind of attendee: an artisan market, a variety of entertainment activities, a tattoo bus, a neon makeup zone, and a broad food offering covering everything from burgers, Asian cuisine, Argentine grill and Greek food to signature hot dogs, with vegan and gluten-free options available.
The strong audience turnout across both days, the incident-free running of the event, and the atmosphere on site all confirm the growth of a project that, in just three editions, has become a fixture on the summer music calendar.
Following this weekend’s success, organizers are already working on the fourth edition of Maror Festival, set for 2027, with the goal of continuing to grow and establishing La Vila Joiosa as one of the Mediterranean’s leading live music destinations. Full details will be announced via www.marorfest.com and the festival’s official social media channels.
