La Fúmiga launches farewell tour in Alicante on Friday
Valencian band La Fúmiga kicks off its farewell tour “L'últim abraç” (“The Last Embrace”) this Friday, March 27, at El Muelle Live in the port of Alicante. The city marks the first stop of a carefully planned goodbye from one of the most celebrated acts in contemporary Valencian music.
Founded in Alzira in 2012, the band wraps up thirteen years of activity with over 500 concerts, two gold records and more than 150 million streams to their name. The show features a specially designed stage production and is conceived as both a celebration and a tribute to the folk music tradition of the Valencian Community — rooted in street bands, brass ensembles and local music societies.
The evening on Friday March 27 opens with sets from Quinto at 20:00 and Sandra Monfort at 21:00, ahead of La Fúmiga’s main show at 22:30. Doors open at 19:30.
The weekend programme continues at El Muelle Live with free outdoor concerts on Saturday March 28 (Directos al Muelle, from 11:00, with Sr. Bizarro at 12:30) and a family day on Sunday March 29, featuring creative workshops and a Queen tribute by KEENG at 13:30.
