Jack White announces seventh solo album Frozen Charlotte — without a press release
Jack White has announced his seventh solo album the only way he knows how: no press release, no rollout, no conventional fanfare. “Frozen Charlotte” appeared quietly on the Third Man Records webstore as a pre-order, with a shipping date of July 10, 2026. The sole signal of its existence was the simultaneous release of new single “Dollar Bill”, through which most fans first learned the album existed at all.
It’s the second time White has opted to sidestep a formal announcement. When “No Name” arrived in 2024, he famously slipped unmarked vinyl test pressings into shopping bags at Third Man Records stores in Detroit, London and Nashville, leaving customers to discover they had received an entirely new Jack White album. This time the build-up was marginally more deliberate: in the days before the announcement, Third Man released Third Man Release Lab, a free two-part online series exploring the label’s creative process, which contained glitching album imagery and a brief clip of “Dollar Bill”.
“Frozen Charlotte” was recorded at White’s Third Man Studio in Nashville, backed by Patrick Keeler on drums, Dominic Davis on bass and Bobby Emmett on keys — the same band that toured with him through a run of universally acclaimed live shows. Alongside “Dollar Bill”, the album includes previously released singles “G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico”. The full thirteen-track listing runs: “G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs”, “Derecho Demonico”, “There’s Nobody There”, “Raising The Grain”, “You’ll Never Fix Me”, “Nobody Knows”, “Dollar Bill”, “I Can’t Believe What I’m Hearing”, “Thick As Thieves”, “All Alone Again”, “She’s In A Frenzy”, “Making Contact” and “Neighbors Blues”. The album will be available on standard black vinyl, as well as limited editions: “Zug Island Blue” (Third Man Records exclusive), “Chrome” (tour and webstore) and “Ice Blue” (independent record stores), plus CD and cassette.
