Festival Rocanrola closes its fourth edition in Alicante with a historic sellout and €9 million economic impact
Festival Rocanrola has wrapped up its fourth edition after three sold-out days at Alicante’s Multiespacio Rabasa. On April 30, May 1 and 2, more than 100 artists took the stage in what organisers describe as the biggest rap and hip-hop festival in Spain, drawing audiences from across the country and abroad.
The festival carried particular weight this year, returning after the 2025 edition was cancelled due to storm alerts from DANA. In 2026, the lineup brought together both foundational and current voices of Spanish rap: Kase.O, Nach, Hijos de la Ruina, Delaossa, Fernandocosta, Lia Kali, Morodo, Sharif and Rapsusklei, among many others. The weekend’s defining moment came from Kase.O, who chose Rocanrola as his only live show in Spain for the entirety of 2026. He brought Sho-Hai and Lírico to the stage, briefly reconstituting Violadores del Verso, and exclusively announced a new release set for June 19. Equally celebrated was the reunion of Natos, Waor and Recycled J as Hijos de la Ruina, debuting their album Vol. 4 to a fully committed crowd.
Over 35 hours of programming across five stages, the festival extended well beyond concerts. The Living Park hosted live graffiti, skate and BMX competitions, Red Bull freestyle battles featuring Gazir, Zeballos and Verse, and a university rap contest run in partnership with the University of Alicante. More than 70% of attendees travelled from other parts of Spain, with 7% arriving internationally. The economic impact exceeded €9 million. The fifth edition of Rocanrola is scheduled for 2027; dates and details will be announced at rocanrola.com.
