Brujeria Bring Their Uncompromising Grindcore and Death Metal Back to Spain
Brujeria are returning to stages across Spain for a five-show tour organised by Madness Live! The band will bring their distinctive blend of grindcore, death metal and unfiltered provocation to Barcelona, Valencia, Málaga, Madrid and Pamplona. More than three decades into their career, they remain known for a confrontational artistic identity shaped by extreme music, dark satire and social criticism.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1989, Brujeria began as a side project involving musicians from the metal and punk scenes. From the outset, the band developed a recognisable approach that combined aggressive sonics with a deliberately provocative image and a sharp-edged sense of satire. Albums such as Matando Güeros and Raza Odiada became defining releases in the group’s history and helped establish its place in extreme metal.
The official tour announcement also highlights the enduring legacy of Juan Brujo and Pinche Peach within the band’s identity. Their place in Brujeria’s history remains an important part of the group’s story, alongside a musical and visual approach that has consistently challenged conventional genre boundaries.
The Spanish leg of the tour will visit five cities. The opening shows will take place in Barcelona, Valencia and Málaga on consecutive days, before the band continues to Madrid and Pamplona. The itinerary brings Brujeria’s distinctive mix of extreme metal, grindcore and death metal to venues across the country.
Throughout their career, Brujeria have developed a sound and image built around intensity, confrontation and dark humour. Their work combines the speed and aggression associated with extreme metal with a provocative artistic concept that draws on the tension between reality and satire. According to the promoter, advance tickets cost €25, while tickets at the door are priced at €30. With five performances scheduled across Spain, the tour offers audiences in different parts of the country an opportunity to experience Brujeria’s distinctive approach to extreme music live.
