Alissa White-Gluz Prepares New Single: Release Coming This Friday
Canadian vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, known for her work with Arch Enemy and The Agonist, has officially announced the release of her new solo single, which will drop this Friday. The announcement was made by the artist herself and confirmed by music media outlets. The track is already available for pre-save on streaming platforms, allowing fans to be among the first to listen.
The new single was created in collaboration with musician Cole Rolland, although details such as the title and musical style of the track have not yet been revealed. This approach reflects Alissa’s creative strategy: she prefers to focus on the music itself rather than pre-release promotion, letting listeners discover the track directly.
After more than a decade with Arch Enemy, Alissa officially confirmed her departure from the band at the end of 2025 and turned her attention to developing her solo career. Her last album with Arch Enemy was Blood Dynasty, released in 2025. She explained that her decision was motivated by a desire to pursue her own musical ideas beyond the scope of working in a band.
Her first solo release was the song “The Room Where She Died”, released in November 2025. The track was recorded with keyboardist Oliver Palotai (Kamelot) and received positive reviews from the music press, highlighting its more personal and atmospheric style. This single defined the direction of Alissa’s solo project: freer in genre and emotionally rich.
Alissa White-Gluz remains one of the most recognizable figures in the modern metal scene, combining extreme and clean vocals. In addition to her main bands, she has appeared as a guest vocalist for Kamelot, Delain, Carnifex, and Powerwolf, which strengthened her status as a versatile and in-demand artist.
The announcement of the new single confirms that Alissa’s solo project is developing consistently and has long-term potential. The upcoming release, coming this Friday, promises to be an important milestone in her solo discography and to attract attention from both longtime fans and a new audience.
