Victorias return with a new single: the band releases the emotional track “El uno por el otro”
The Spanish indie rock band Victorias have released a new single titled “El uno por el otro”, opening the 2026 music season with a fresh and emotionally charged work. The track marks the group’s first release of the year and is now available on all major digital platforms. The single was released with the support of the Mushroom Pillow label, with which the band has been collaborating for several years.
The new song logically continues the artistic direction set by Victorias’ second studio album, Emocional, released in 2025. Once again, the musicians explore themes of inner tension, emotional pressure, and the constant struggle between expectations and reality. The lyrics of “El uno por el otro” reflect experiences related to the desire to move forward while trying not to lose oneself — motifs that have long become a defining feature of the band.
The production of the single was once again handled by Guille Mostaza, the band’s longtime producer. His work helps maintain a balance between a solid rhythmic foundation and melodic expressiveness, resulting in a track that sounds dynamic while remaining deeply personal and emotional. The production highlights the tense atmosphere of the song without overloading it with unnecessary elements.
Alongside the release of the track, the band unveiled an official music video directed by Adonis Rivas. Rather than focusing on a linear narrative, the visual piece emphasizes imagery and emotional states. The video reinforces the sense of inner conflict and psychological pressure embedded in the song and serves as an organic extension of its musical content.
Victorias were formed in Seville and previously performed under the name Victoria Ford. The band operates at the intersection of alternative rock, indie, and post-punk, combining energetic soundscapes with emotionally driven lyrics. Their debut album Un puño amable was released in 2022 and attracted attention within the Spanish music scene, while Emocional helped establish the band as one of the most compelling contemporary indie projects in the country.
The release of the new single coincides with an active touring phase in the band’s career. Victorias continue their Tour Emocional II, which has already included a sold-out show at Madrid’s El Sol club, as well as upcoming performances in Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia, and major festivals such as SanSan Festival and Festival de los Sentidos.
With “El uno por el otro”, Victorias reaffirm their commitment to their signature sound while continuing to evolve. The new release not only expands their discography but also sets the creative direction for the band throughout 2026.
