The Wombats

The Wombats are bringing their boldest album yet to Spain on the Oh! The Ocean Tour

The Wombats are coming back to Spain. The Liverpool three-piece — Matthew “Murph” Murphy, Tord Øverland Knudsen and Dan Haggis — bring the Oh! The Ocean Tour 2026 to Barcelona as part of a worldwide run that has taken them from UK arenas to festival headline slots and beyond. With over 2.5 billion streams across their catalogue and a career spanning more than two decades, The Wombats remain one of British indie rock's most consistent and beloved acts.

The catalyst for this tour is Oh! The Ocean, their sixth studio album, released in February 2025. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer John Congleton — the man behind records by St. Vincent and Death Cab for Cutie — the album marks a deliberate shift in approach. The band took 50 songs into a studio in Echo Park and chose to play everything in complete takes, shunning the digital correction tools that have become standard in modern recording. The result is their most human-sounding record yet: imperfect, alive and emotionally raw. Oh! The Ocean was widely praised as one of the strongest releases of their career, and an extended edition with new material arrived in December 2025. In the context of their discography, it stands as a genuine turning point.

On June 12, 2026, The Wombats will perform at Paral·lel 62 in Barcelona. Doors open and the show begins at 8:30 PM. Expect a set that reaches across their catalogue — from new tracks like Sorry I’m Late, I Didn’t Want To Come, Can’t Say No and Holy Sugar, to the anthems that made them: Greek Tragedy, Let’s Dance to Joy Division, Moving to New York. Their live shows are known for relentless energy and an instinctive rapport with audiences that few bands of their size can match.
