Kraken live: Colombian heavy metal arrives in Portugalete
Legendary band Kraken will return to Europe with a tour spanning several cities across Spain and the continent. One of the scheduled stops will take place in Portugalete at Groove Estudios y Ensayos. The concert date is currently to be announced (TBA).
Formed in Medellín in 1984, Kraken became a defining force in Colombian heavy metal, blending classic hard rock structures with epic arrangements and socially driven lyrics. The band’s artistic direction was shaped for decades by vocalist Elkin Ramírez, whose legacy continues to influence its sound.
Today, Kraken continues to perform, bringing together iconic tracks from across its catalogue alongside material from the album Kraken VII: Los Pasos del Titán. The European tour includes Madrid, Alicante, Sevilla, Portugalete, Barcelona and Paris.
The Portugalete show is a rare chance to experience a live heavy metal concert by one of the most influential bands in Latin American rock, presented in an intimate venue setting.
