Poppy releases “Dying to Forget” video featuring members of Knocked Loose and House of Protection
Poppy has unveiled the official music video for “Dying to Forget”, the sixth track on her seventh studio album “Empty Hands”. The clip was directed by Orie McGuiness, who previously helmed the videos for “Guardian”, “Bruised Sky” and “Time Will Tell” from the same record.
The video opens on Poppy and her band in a dark, industrial setting, performing in a narrow corridor packed with moshing fans brought in from her real fanbase. Their raw energy drives the visual. Isaac Hale of Knocked Loose and Stephen Harrison of House of Protection — both credited co-writers on the track — also appear on screen.
“Empty Hands”, released in January 2026, follows 2024's “Negative Spaces” and blends alternative metal with industrial textures, pop instincts and the surrealist edge Poppy has long made her own. The album’s single “Time Will Tell” currently sits in the top 25 of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Poppy has earned two Grammy nominations: one in 2021 for her solo track “Bloodmoney” and another in 2025 for “Suffocate”, her collaboration with Knocked Loose, in the Best Metal Performance category.
After completing the Australian and European legs of the “Constantly Nowhere” tour, Poppy launches the North American run in July with LANDMVRKS and Thousand Below as support, before joining Evanescence for a run of major European arena dates.
