Dimebag Darrell’s legacy gets an official home: Dime GuitarZ is here

In Dime We Trust, the Texas revocable living trust created to protect and manage the legacy and assets of legendary Pantera guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, has announced the launch of Dime GuitarZ, the exclusive home of Dimebag’s official guitars.

The company is a collaboration between legendary guitar designer and builder Dean Zelinsky and Rita Haney — also known as “DimebagzHag” — Darrell’s lifelong partner and steward of his legacy. Grady Champion, who served as Dimebag’s guitar tech throughout his entire career with Pantera, is also part of the venture.

Haney summed up the company’s mission plainly: to build the guitars Dimebag Darrell would be playing today. She also addressed a persistent misconception among fans: Darrell never had a real relationship with today’s Dean Guitars. He was killed three weeks after signing a deal with them. His relationship was with Dean Zelinsky — the man who brought him to Dean and built every guitar he truly loved.

The first models introduced by Dime GuitarZ are the Culprit line, featuring Dimebag Darrell signature paint schemes and Dean Zelinsky’s Z-Glide Neck technology. The Culprit — one of Darrell’s earliest and rarest designs — makes for a fitting debut for a company built on preserving and extending his vision.
