Pestilence and Cancer — a defining death-metal tour across Spain
December 2025 marks a major moment for extreme-metal fans in Spain: Pestilence and Cancer, two of the genre’s most influential European bands, unite for the Double Dead Tour. The tour includes three high-intensity shows — 5 December at Sala Groove in Portugalete, 6 December at Sala Wolf in Barcelona and 7 December at Revi Live in Madrid.
Pestilence, renowned for shaping the sound of technical and atmospheric death-metal, remain one of the genre’s most respected innovators. Essential albums such as Consuming Impulse, Testimony of the Ancients and Spheres secured their status as leaders of the scene. In 2025 the band continues to evolve, preparing the release of their anticipated new record Portals.
Cancer, formed in the UK in 1987, stand among the foundational acts of early European death-metal. Their debut To the Gory End became an enduring reference point for the genre. With their 2025 album Inverted World, released through Peaceville Records, Cancer reaffirm both their legacy and their renewed strength onstage.
The Double Dead Tour offers a rare opportunity to experience two legendary bands delivering their most powerful material across three Spanish cities. Fans can expect a blend of classic tracks, new compositions and authentic extreme-metal intensity in Portugalete, Barcelona and Madrid.
