Katatonia: the ‘Waking State of Europe’ tour
Swedish band Katatonia have announced their winter European tour “Waking State of Europe”, a run of concerts across major venues. For Spain, two dates are confirmed: 1 December 2025 — Sala BUT, Madrid and 2 December 2025 — Salamandra, L’Hospitalet (Barcelona).
Katatonia are known for their atmospheric, melancholic approach—textured guitars, considered dynamics and evocative melodies. On stage the band balances intimate, introspective passages with powerful, cathartic climaxes; that dynamic contrast is central to their live identity and is a major part of the experience these Spanish dates will offer.
The set will feature recent material alongside carefully chosen highlights from the band’s catalogue, resulting in a program that emphasises mood, tension and depth. The selected venues provide different but complementary experiences: Sala BUT affords an intense, close-in club environment in Madrid, while Salamandra allows for broader sonic and visual presentation in the Barcelona area. This variety gives fans two distinct ways to experience the same show.
Practical advice: purchase tickets via authorised sellers, check door times and support acts with official channels, and prepare travel arrangements given the proximity of the dates. Adding an FAQ and logistics section to the event page will raise conversion and reduce pre-event queries for attendees.
Katatonia in Spain is not merely another gig — it’s an invitation to a carefully sculpted live performance where atmosphere and dynamics are paramount.
