New Biopic on Bruce Springsteen and Nebraska Reissue: A Look at the Musician’s Most Personal Period

The biographical film “Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere” tells the story of a pivotal period in Bruce Springsteen’s life in the early 1980s, when the musician was creating one of his darkest and most honest albums. The film was directed by Scott Cooper, with Jeremy Allen White portraying Springsteen, earning high praise from critics. Based on Warren Zanes’ book, the film does not cover the artist’s entire career but focuses on his internal struggles: depression, complicated relationships with his father, and the search for creative expression. The film premiered at the Telluride Film Festival before being released worldwide.

Alongside the film’s release, the comprehensive reissue Nebraska ’82: Expanded Edition was presented, becoming the emotional centerpiece of the story. The new edition includes rare demos, acoustic versions of future hits, studio sessions with the E Street Band, and a fresh live rendition of the album recorded in April 2025 without an audience. The reissue underscores why Nebraska remains one of Springsteen’s most powerful and vulnerable works, highlighting the close connection between the music and the personal story portrayed in the film.
