LANY

LANY come to Spain with the album Paul Klein wrote after surviving a car accident

LANY are heading to Spain this May, and the music they are bringing with them carries a weight that sets it apart from anything they have done before. Soft, the duo’s sixth studio album, was written in the weeks following a near-fatal accident in which frontman Paul Klein was hit by a car while riding his scooter through Hollywood. He woke up in an ambulance. What followed was an album that turns that experience into sound — and the Soft World Tour, one of the most ambitious live runs of the band’s career, with over 300,000 headline tickets sold across the globe.

LANY — an acronym for Los Angeles and New York — was formed by Paul Klein (vocals, guitar) and Jake Goss (drums) in Nashville in 2014. Their anonymous early SoundCloud uploads attracted label interest within days, and from there the band built a catalogue of pop-rock anthems — “ILYSB”, “Super Far”, “Malibu Nights”, “Mean It” with Lauv — that has amassed billions of streams and sold out arenas across multiple continents. “Soft” was released on October 10, 2025 via their own imprint Sunset Records with Virgin Music Group, produced in full by Tommy King, whose credits include Bon Iver and Haim. The album pits Klein’s characteristic lyrical vulnerability against a harder, more expansive production — a tension that runs through every track. In March 2026, the band released “Soft 2”, adding five new songs to the project.

In Spain, the duo will perform on May 26, 2026 at La Riviera in Madrid and on May 27, 2026 at Razzmatazz in Barcelona, both shows starting at 8:30 PM. Setlists will draw from the new album — “Know You Naked”, “Last Forever”, “Sound of Rain” — alongside the band’s decade-long catalogue of crowd favourites.
